Clarus Corporation awarded the Microsoft Global E-commerce Award for 2000

Microsoft has announced that Clarus Corporation, a leading provider of -based business-to-business e-commerce solutions, has been selected from approximately 1 000 entries as the winner of the Microsoft eCommerce Solution of the Year Award.

The award was for the Clarus eMarket solution framework which comprises of a bundled solution all the , technology and services needed to create a company's trading . Built entirely on Microsoft Windows DNA 2000 platform and Microsoft Commerce Server 2000 architecture, the Clarus eMarket solutions also includes content management, contract management, payment settlement, auctioning and analytics.

According to Garry Hodgson, Internet and Developer group director at Microsoft South Africa: "We are pleased that Clarus Corporation has been awarded the Microsoft eCommerce Solution of the Year accolade, especially as Clarus software is now available in South Africa through Softworx, a local business applications company. The Microsoft Solution and Partner Awards have a long standing history of recognising excellence, and the awards finalists reflect this through their innovative use of Microsoft technology."
