Clearswift MIMEsweeper voted number one for customer satisfaction, brand recognition in Frost and Sullivan survey

Clearswift MIMEsweeper picks up two key awards from independent e-mail security end-user study

Clearswift, the world`s leading provider of for managing and securing electronic communication, today announced it has won two key industry awards, confirming its leadership position within the content filtering market. Clearswift MIMEsweeper came top for both `Best for Satisfaction` and `Customer Brand Recognition` within Frost and Sullivan`s E-mail End-User Study.

For the `Best Customer Satisfaction Award`, interviewees were asked to rate their solution providers against a number of features. Clearswift came first in the following categories: Efficiency of content filtering, ease of use, price, customer support and overall satisfaction. 202 people responsible for IT or for purchasing IT security products were interviewed for the survey. The study showed that Clearswift MIMEsweeper customers are the most satisfied of all e-mail filtering users, beating tough competition from other market players, including Trend Micro and Symantec.

Paul Rutherford, Chief Marketing Officer at Clearswift, said: "Earlier this year, IDC stated that we are world leader in the e-mail filtering industry with a 23% market share. The results of this wholly independent study re-affirm this position. Winning the `Best Customer Satisfaction` and `Customer Brand Recognition` awards are firm evidence that since our acquisition of MIMEsweeper earlier this year, we have invested in supporting and growing the MIMEsweeper family. The most rewarding aspect of this recognition is that it comes from the people who matter most - customers. We are delighted that our efforts are paying dividends, and will continue to focus on deserving their trust."

For the `Customer Brand Recognition` award, the same interviewees were asked to provide the name of the top vendors they recognise in the market. Competitors are then ranked for relative position, and Clearswift received the number one industry rank.

Jose Lopez, Industry Analyst at Frost and Sullivan, and the author of the study, said: "We rate MIMEsweeper as the leading e-mail filtering product in the market and this is now supported by the customers` feedback in this survey. According to our research, Clearswift also has the most satisfied customer base. This will help the company develop its leadership position within the content filtering space."

Craig Copeland, Director for the local distributor`s of MIMEsweeper, Networks Unlimited, said: "The award is justified recognition for the amount of effort that MIMEsweeper have put into the education of end-users in SA over the past five years, bringing to light the issues and threats at hand.
