CM for small businesses

WebAssist, a provider of software and pre-built solutions for Web professionals, has released its latest solution, PowerCMS, states PRWeb.

Content management systems give Web developers the ability to offload Web site updates to the individual business users or customers rather than rely on development staff.

According to the company, PowerCMS is an affordable, easy to set up solution which includes a professional design and intuitive interface for the non-technical user.

EdgeCast teams with Samba Tech

EdgeCast Networks, a rich media content delivery network, and Samba Tech, a rich media content management service in Latin America, have announced a partnership that brings global media streaming to Samba Tech's customers throughout Latin America, reports TMCnet.

Under the agreement, Samba Tech's Liquid content management platform will interconnect with EdgeCast's global content delivery network.

Samba Tech customers - which include SBT, Brazil's second-largest TV station, and Atletico-MG, one of the largest soccer teams in Brazil - are now able to immediately provision streams, edge storage, caching, and high-speed delivery in any of EdgeCast's sixteen points of presence around the world.

JustSystems showcases content reuse

For many types of documentation, the growing adoption of XML as the source of content is well proven. From authoring through content management to publications, XML and the various XML-based technologies offer control and efficiencies over the more proprietary alternatives, writes BusinessWire.

In an upcoming Webinar presented by JustSystems, a software vendor and provider in XML and information management technologies, attendees will witness content reuse in action.

By using JustSystems' XMetal, the XML-based software for structured authoring and content collaboration, combined with Ovidius TCToolbox, a flexible and efficient XML-based technical publication content management system, organisations can get to market faster with their information products by bringing structure and to managing high volumes of valuable content.
