Managed security service provider (MSSP) CMC Networks is implementing Cobion OrangeBox Mail and OrangeBox Web solutions for its clients.
Anton Starling, CMC Networks group sales manager, says the decision was taken to deploy the solutions after testing them for a number of months with Cobion`s local distributor, Biodata IT SA.
"The OrangeBox Mail and Web solutions are certainly the best we have analysed in the market. With the inclusion of these solutions, we are a true MSSP, and are able to transparently provide internationally benchmarked solutions from Web, mail, anti-virus through firewall solutions to our customers on a global basis," he says.
Included in the mail solution is the ability to define rules for incoming and outgoing mail as well as a detailed list of spam addresses, Starling says. The Web solution has a list of around 20 million URLs that are automatically blocked.
The company is also able configure its own Web and mail filtering and content management rules, allowing network administrators to be proactive in their response to security threats, he says.
