South African distributor Rectron has given the local wireless marketplace a well-deserved boost with the introduction of networking company, CNet`s range of wireless technologies.
The Wireless-G range includes a notebook adapter, router and PCI adapter that set users free from their desks, enabling true mobility.
Both the notebook adapter and PCI connect with Wireless-G networks at 54 Mbps and also offer interoperability with Wireless-B networks found in homes, businesses and public hotspots.
The Wireless-G router is an all-in-one, Internet-sharing router, 4-port switch and an 802.11g access point/bridge/repeater.
"CNet`s Wireless-G offerings provide all the functionality and features expected from today`s wireless technologies, but at a fraction of the price," comments Christopher Coetzee, CNet product manager at Rectron.
"We at Rectron are delighted to offer products that play an active role in the wireless market`s ongoing growth," he adds.
Looking at security, all the Wireless-G offerings feature 40/64/128-bit WEP and advanced 256-bit WPA (WiFi Protected Access) encryption.
In addition, CNet Wireless-G router enables both wired and wireless devices to securely share the single broadband Internet connection.
The adapters also feature a Setup Wizard, which simplifies the installation process.
