COA focuses on paperless HR

Business applications provider COA Solutions is focusing on its integrated paperless office technology on its stands at Softworld, taking place on 13 to 14 October in London Olympia, according to TMCnet.

With the latest version of COA Solutions' OpenAccounts financial management system (FMS), COA Solutions will demonstrate how financial documents can be created, delivered, circulated, stored and retrieved directly from users' FMS.

New functionality includes the automatic generation of mass mail merge documents and the conversion of reports into PDF for electronic delivery and Intranet display.

Companies ignore employee engagement

An independent survey by HR, payroll and talent management solutions provider, MidlandHR, has found that despite the vast majority of organisations agreeing that employee engagement affects employee retention and overall performance, almost half (49%) don't understand the level of engagement of employees or how to actually engage them (42%), states SourceWire.

Nearly two in five (38%) organisations don't recognise the importance of assessing employee opinion.

The study, 'Investigating employee engagement and predictive analytics', surveyed the opinions of over 100 business leaders in UK public, private and charity sectors. Despite agreeing that employee engagement affects organisational performance, the research found that nearly one in four (24%) organisations do not conduct employee engagement surveys of any kind.

Yamaha selects UltiPro for HR functionality

Yamaha selected UltiPro from Ultimate Software for comprehensive human capital management (HCM) reports RFP News, this including HR, payroll, benefits, recruitment, and on-boarding, delivered through software-as-a-.

Prior to UltiPro, Yamaha had been using a payroll service bureau, but the company decided that it needed an HCM solution with more sophisticated human resources functionality to help HR optimise its employee management processes.

In addition to wanting richer HR functionality, decision-makers sought a system that offered tools to allow HR to address reporting needs more quickly and give them strategic analytics for forecasting and trend monitoring.
