Business intelligence company, Cognos, has announced it has taken the top market share position in the worldwide business intelligence (BI) tools market, according to 2001 total worldwide software licence and maintenance revenues. This is based on a new report from leading industry analyst firm, IDC.
According to IDC, BI tools include end-user query/reporting, multi-dimensional analysis, data mining, packaged data warehouse, and EIS software tools.
