Peregrine Systems Inc, represented locally by CCH Enterprise Solutions, has a new product family that provides business intelligence for the infrastructure management market.
Peregrine Systems Insight, powered by Cognos`s enterprise business intelligence offerings, will allow customers to understand and analyse the performance of their global infrastructure, including IT assets, buildings and real estate holdings, transportation and fleet resources, and to improve operating efficiency and effectiveness for competitive advantage.
Insight provides a set of applications for viewing key performance indicators across the entire infrastructure - the performance of all assets, including real estate, capital equipment, and transportation assets - and tying them into internal support systems such as the corporate helpdesk.
Using Insight, says Allen Lewis, product management executive at CCH Enterprise Solutions, customers can answer questions such as: "How much is my infrastructure costing me per employee, by division, or by asset type?" "The addition of Cognos allows users to drill down and reorganise data on the fly to isolate key performance metrics data and guide the decision-making process," says Lewis. "Being Web-based, the application gives users anywhere in the organisation access to data based on their role - whether an executive, a facilities supervisor, or a corporate asset manager.
