Comdex, the definitive PC industry trade show throughout the 1980s and 1990s, is set to return this year after its demise in 2003.
The event returns with the focus on the show's original concept of being a computer dealers' exhibition, and plans to serve the IT channel, ISVs, and businesses that make up the IT distribution system. The event will be presented in the same way as a live event, with visitors interacting with online content and other participants.
Utilising virtual rooms and halls, the online event contains a grand hall of masters to highlight the keynote speakers, and a conference hall to present different tracks on technical and business topics. Exhibition halls feature stands from various technology vendors, while hospitality suites provide private meetings and briefings.
The show further provides media rooms for journalists and industry analysts, and a test centre featuring live reviews and demonstrations of technology products.
Registration for the event, as well as further information, is accessible at Comdex.
