COMET, the Document Generation Accelerator for Microsoft SharePoint, has been renamed and re-branded as Qorus Document Generation in its latest release, version 12.1. The name change comes in anticipation of a more aggressive international sales and marketing drive into Europe and the Middle East. The company, Comet Solutions, has also been renamed and registered as Qorus Software (Pty) Ltd.
“We needed a name that would stand out more in the local and international market than COMET could,” says Lee Child, MD of Qorus. “Its unusual spelling makes Qorus more memorable as a brand. Plus, as we're dealing with regions where English is not the primary language spoken, Qorus is a name that would sound familiar and intuitive to pronounce to someone of almost any nationality.”
The new logo visually accentuates the Q in Qorus (pronounced “kaw-riss”, rhymes with “chorus”), and will play an iconic role in helping build the brand through its creative use in marketing collateral and marketing communications.
Qorus has begun its international sales drive in the United Kingdom with its successful implementation at Vodafone, Aerion Fund Management and J O Hambro Investment Management.
