Companies don't report environmental risks
risks to their businesses, such as climate change or labour disputes, Financial News reports.
This is according to a study by Norges Bank Investment Management (NBIM), in Norway.
While many companies in NBIM's portfolio have developed climate change strategies and action plans, too few have disclosed information on how they go about achieving them, Environmental Finance states.
“[Although] we see improvement, it is difficult to assess if [the companies] are actually implementing their strategies to reduce emissions,” says Anne Kvam, Oslo-based head of corporate governance at NBIM.
