Compaq has signed strategic alliances with Intershop and Trintech to deliver cross-platform e-commerce solutions for businesses and Internet service providers.
Both companies will combine their various technologies with Compaq to offer a single e-commerce solution to the market. The focus will be on Compaq`s ActiveAnswers solution, which provides online tools and technical information to plan, deploy and operate business solutions.
Intershop, a provider of e-commerce solutions, will be Compaq`s first e-commerce software partner with ActiveAnswers solutions for both Windows NT and TRU64 platforms.
Trintech, a provider of secure electronic payment solutions, will also be the first cross-platform secure Internet payment vendor to develop ActiveAnswers solutions. Trintech`s solutions are represented locally by Prism Payment Technologies.
