Compaq introduces new flat-panel display

New 17-inch flat-panel display combines quality with affordability
Johannesburg, 12 Feb 2001

Compaq Computer today announced the immediate availability of a new flat-panel display, the TFT 7010, across Europe, Middle East and Africa. The new 17-inch LCD monitor offers business customers all the benefits of flat-panel technology such as flicker-free quality, lack of distortion, and small footprint, at a competitive price that starts at a recommended price of R15 450 including VAT.

The TFT 7010 is easy to set up and maintain. One-touch buttons on the front of the unit, and virtual controls on the screen allow for visual attributes to be stored to memory so settings apply each time the unit is turned on.

This combined with extras such as a swing arm or wall mounting, an optional USB hub, and Compaq`s three-year warranty, create the perfect marriage of form and function in an affordable, high-performance flat-panel display.

The TFT 7010 monitor presents a 17-inch viewable screen image, SXGA (1280 X 1024) resolution with .26mm pitch, and 200-nit brightness. This display offers an impressive 160-degree viewing angle for easy visibility from any perspective.

The monitor is and analog compatible for the ultimate in backward compatibility with legacy hardware and forward compatibility with emerging digital technology. The unit offers flexibility, compatibility, and productivity via dual inputs that allow an analog and digital source to be connected to the unit simultaneously.
