Comparex Africa takes over African distributorship for Analyst Financials

Prime distribution of Analyst Financials for southern Africa has been awarded to Comparex Africa, in recognition of the company`s extensive product skills and knowledge. The IT integrator and solutions provider was previously a sub-distributor of the product.

Client feedback has indicated that companies are often hard put to extract transaction data from their core financial systems into Excel, for reporting purposes, in a way all users can easily access.

In response to these real business needs, Analyst Financials was developed as a simple yet powerful out-of-the-box Excel-based financial reporting solution suitable for most companies. As a market leader unlike any other, it offers an intelligent ERP interface, GL reporting, reporting from other modules, budgeting, statutory consolidation and automated generation distribution, all rolled into one.

"This is of high importance to companies in the current economic climate, where 55% of new ledger purchases are made because of inadequate financial reporting," says Kevin Scholl, managing executive at Comparex Africa`s Mainstream division.

Comparex Africa`s Mainstream/Tetra division boasts 20 years experience in providing business solutions and has implemented Analyst Financials at many top SA companies, including Old Mutual Zimbabwe, Metropolitan Life, Cadiz, Naspers and most recently Foschini.

Version 2.9 is scheduled for release in January 2004. In this version, Oracle, DB2 and Micro Soft SQL Server Databases are supported. It also includes reporting enhancements, database calculations, alerts and an enhanced install wizard.

The company`s vision for clients is to assist them to move beyond the posting and reporting of financial transactions, towards proactively managing the processes around expenses, revenue and overall financial performance.
