Local systems integrator, Comparex Africa, has turned to Meissner Power Systems to secure the electrical supply of its server rooms and IT command centre. The recent addition of a Meissner MP3000, 125kVA uninterruptible power supply (UPS) unit, to its existing UPS installed base, ensures the company`s networks remain stable and operational despite any power fluctuation or outage.

"The MP3000, as an online UPS, feeds power continuously through the double conversion process, resulting in a continuous stream of clean power to our server rooms and other areas of the building. This provides the benefit of power filtration from input to output," says Johan Niemandt, manager, disaster recovery and facilities at Comparex Africa.

Apart from securing electrical supply to critical networking equipment at Comparex Africa, the Meissner UPS also ensures continued power to the company`s monitor stations, as well as security doors and cameras.

"Comparex has been dealing with Meissner for quite some time now and have an array of UPSs operational throughout the company, however, the latest acquisition safeguards the most critical of systems," explains Graham Beyleveld, sales director at Meissner Power Systems.

Niemandt singles out service and support as the key attributes of Comparex`s continued partnership with the company. "Not only do they ensure that our systems remain operational, they are also available for consultation, advising us on how to maximise our existing power protection systems and maintain compatibility between systems. Because they are familiar with our environment and power demands, the association is invaluable to us."
