Lotus Development has confirmed the appointment of Complete Software Solutions (CSS) as a Premier Business Partner. The company which has been a Lotus Business Partner since 1992 is focused on three areas - consulting for e-commerce, bespoke development and the sale and support of ready to go solutions in three key areas of Quality, Document Management and Knowledge Management, Project Management and Customer Relationship Management all through I`Net-based solutions.
According to MD George Thomson, the company`s development activities have been focussed mainly on financial institutions in South Africa. "Our development projects include loan processing, mortgage lending acceleration, nation-wide procurement and budgeting procedures, licensing processes and on site audits, designing Web sites with linkages to backend databases and browser interface," he says.
CSS uses the Lotus Accelerated Value Method (AVM) methodology to cover the five main aspects applicable to all projects. "AVM incorporates all the aspects for a successful project, including client engagement, process innovation, transformation management, collaborative development and enterprise deployment. These principles, although developed for IT projects, are applicable to all matters of change management," he explains.
CSS sells and supports three ready - to - go packages in its three key business focus areas: Document and Knowledge Management (Prisma from Ennov), Customer Relationship Management (CFO from GWI) and Project Management (Gateway from Marin Research) Prisma, using Lotus Notes, is a Web enabled ISO quality management solution that also facilitates document management, a foundation for Knowledge Management.
Collaborative Front Office (CFO) is a comprehensive suite of applications for customer service, sales force automation, marketing, help desks for IT and non IT uses and knowledge management. This set of business applications will allow a company to leverage its Lotus Notes infrastructure like never before, facilitating communication and collaboration across the enterprise.
Project Gateway is a project-oriented work management system that connects employees with each other and with the objectives of their enterprise.
"Using Lotus Domino, Project Gateway makes project knowledge securely available to both Lotus Notes and Web users anywhere in your organisation," says Thomson.
In addition to its involvement in Notes and Domino development CSS hosts several Web sites in its own ISP, YesNet, including a system that CSS has devised and developed for a provincial gambling board which showed four month ROI. CSS hosts several Notes-based solutions on behalf of various clients.
CSS consults, installs and trains on the selected near-shrink wrap products including ISO9000/14000, Customer and IT Help Desk solutions. CSS is a Lotus LearningSpace partner and is working on two global projects in high tech industries
