As part of its goal to become a one-stop distributor for its more than 1000 nationwide dealers, Compucomp has announced it is to sell Logitech`s range of multimedia products in sub-Sahara Africa.

This follows a distribution agreement signed between Compucomp and LG Electronics, which will see Compucomp distributing LG`s entire IT range, including its recently-unveiled "Barebone" corporate PC range.

Logitech`s multimedia range includes a wide array of products, such as video games, internet video cameras, mice, trackballs, keyboards, multimedia sound systems and accessories, Wingman entertainment products, as well as the latest cordless technology.

Carlos Vizcarra, CEO of Compucomp, said the company intends supplying a wide range of leading hardware and software products to its dealer base as part of its plan to become a top-quality one-stop distributor.

"We will only distribute products which are regarded as best-in-their-class, such as the Logitech, Microsoft and LG Electronics product offerings. These will complement our existing in-house Auwa PC and laptop range," said Vizcarra.

He said the company is "well-placed and well-stocked" to supply its channel through its well-established branches in Bloemfontein, East London, George, Cape Town, Pietersburg, Port Elizabeth and Nelspruit. The company is also planning to open a branch in Pretoria in the near future.
