Computer Associates, one of the world`s leading software giants, and Mthombo IT Services (M-IT), a services company focused on the maintenance and support of hardware and operating systems, have strengthened their partnership.
The partnership was finalised at the end of last year to make the companies not only more competitive in the tender market but also in the enterprise and corporate market. They combined forces to form a formidable partnership that could potentially cover the IT software market from end-to-end.
M-IT can now add the power of CA`s suite of management software such as UniCentre to its own offerings, which are mostly based on maintaining their clients` complete hardware environments.
The partnership will include the transfer of skills between the companies. It also adds a new dimension to the local IT services market by combining the knowledge of an international company such as CA with a local BEE company to encourage the development of previously disadvantaged individuals.
