Computrolley.com has announced that it will act as local distributor for Jasc Software - a position left vacant since the demise of Memtek-MMW.
Jasc Software optimises the digital imaging experience through affordable software solutions, products and services. "It provides Windows-based tools for digital image editing and image management, an area that has seen serious growth both in spend and interest over the last couple of years," comments Gary Naidoo, national product manager for Computrolley.com.
Despite the lack of a distributor in SA, Jasc had not disappeared from the local image editing scene and still has a strong following in SA. There has been a significant disruption in the South African distribution market over the last year or so, and unfortunately the channel as well as end-users have suffered the consequences. However, Jasc has attempted to retain its profile in the market by serving its clients directly, online.
"Clearly the appointment of a new distributor was a key decision which will naturally affect and improve both service and sales in this market. We are confident that Computrolley.com is the right distributor to present us here," says Scott Johnson, International Accounts Manager at Jasc Software.
According to Simon Campbell-Young, MD of Computrolley.com, the company is working towards securing key distribution agreements, thus establishing itself as serious focused distributor. "Broad base distribution has never been our objective and thus we are very selective in the kind of product we take on."
