Computron expands e-Cellerator solutions

Computron Software, a leading global provider of the e- Cellerator line of Internet commerce solutions, today announced the availability of new vertical market extensions to its AXSPoint Solutions line, targeting the utilities, brokerage, and mortgage services industries.

AXSPoint Solutions are comprised of AXSPoint Central 2.0 and AXSPoint Exchange 2.0, designed to help organisations leverage the Web to build secure, self-service information systems for customers, partners, and employees.

AXSPoint Central is the core engine for enabling business-to- business information sharing; AXSPoint Exchange is a series of solutions providing Web-based self-service access to information for specific vertical markets - including utilities, financial brokerage, and secondary mortgage lending.

"Computron is dedicated to making it easier for organisations to use information quickly and efficiently, improving internal and external communications,`` explained Al Clegg, MD of Computron Software SA. "AXSPoint Solutions utilise the immediacy of the Web to help organisations create a secure, centralised environment for fast, targeted information access by a broad range of users, including employees, partners and suppliers.``

AXSPoint Central

AXSPoint Central stores information from multiple sources, allowing users to extract, merge and present information in a cohesive and relevant way. AXSPoint Central 2.0 fully supports XML, providing conversion and distribution capabilities to link and exchange information with other applications.

AXSPoint Central also supports distributed security administration, making it easy for remote offices to manage security for local users.

AXSPoint Exchange

AXSPoint Exchange 2.0 leverages AXSPoint Central, and offers a targeted front-end interface for specific vertical market segments to store, access, and share information with customers and business partners via the Web. AXSPoint Exchange solutions are currently available for the following three vertical industries:

AXSPoint Exchange: Utilities helps utility companies retain and expand their market share by offering residential and commercial/industrial customers self- service access to current statements, utilisation analyses, billing histories, as well as company news and announcements.

AXSPoint Exchange: Brokerage allows brokerage firms to easily share consolidated information about daily activities, trade confirmations, and commissions with their correspondents, partners, and customers online.

AXSPoint Exchange: Mortgage helps financial services institutions focused in the mortgage-backed securities market to provide business partners with Web-based access to current status and other important transaction details, as well as e-mail support for specific account questions.

"With AXSPoint Solutions, companies can begin to transition to electronic sharing of information immediately, using the technology and systems they already have in place," added Clegg. "This is a key component of our `e-Cellerate your business` approach."
