The order is for the supply of newly upgraded computers, including ruggedised keyboards, docking stations, interface cables and base plates, all of which are expected to be integrated into previously deployed MTS systems.
Wavetrend to track TV stars
Endemol has selected Wavetrend to install technology to track housemates in the 2009 Celebrity Big Brother series in England, reports More RFID.
The tracking system will enable the show's producers to monitor the movements and habits of the housemates, where in the house the celebrities spend most of their time, and which housemates they are in close proximity to over the course of their stay.
The programme's psychologists will also be able to interpret their behaviour, and housemates voted off may be questioned on their movements in the Big Brother house with information derived from Wavetrend's RFID system.
Essen hosts RFID pavilion
Essen RFID will host the first-ever India RFID Solutions Pavilion during the RFID Journal Live 2009 event to be held this April in Orlando, USA, according to India PR Wire.
Essen's senior business development manager, Shrinivas Shikaripurkar, says India's burgeoning economy in light of the global economic downturn makes it a viable market for this technology.
“India is considered to be the second largest producer and consumer of FMCG goods and a major manufacturing hub worldwide. Add to that the tremendous IT capabilities present in India thereby positioning India to be the biggest gainer in the RFID space,” he added.
