As active participants in the Cisco Networkers Africa 2005 forum - which will take place from 14 to 16 February 2005 at Sun City - IT systems and communications distributors Comztek and Comztek Africa have ensured both resellers and their end-users are prepared for the complexities of conducting business in Africa.
This is according to Siobhan Hanvey, Cisco product manager at Comztek, who points out that undertaking business in Africa requires a reliable and efficient communications network with the right backup service and technical support.
"The combination of Cisco`s product innovation and Comztek`s dynamic service expertise provide resellers with leading solutions at competitive prices. This meets the needs of IT resellers in Africa for a reliable supplier who will partner with them and assist them to develop their markets and meet the needs of their customers.
"Comztek`s business is based on this partnership model. We are extending our services and expertise, and offering customers the technology they require," she says.
Comztek provides Cisco solutions right across the SADC (South African Development Community) region through Comztek Africa, thereby guaranteeing the availability of leading security, IP communication, storage, wireless and network infrastructure across a diversity of industries.
Brett Stevens, sales director at Comztek Africa, says the company offers a complete distribution solution for African resellers, and has the experience and infrastructure required to assist resellers through the challenges that make the African continent so diverse and complex.
"With Comztek`s partnership business model and an established channel infrastructure, we are able to deliver real value to our African resellers and provide high-end sales and technical support.
"Comztek Africa has a number of localised, logistically strong distribution centres that offer weekly stock replenishment, a wealth of channel management skills, and sufficient staff to ensure uninterrupted service," he adds. The Cisco Networkers Africa 2005 forum provides African audiences and visitors with the highest calibre technical training and technology demonstrations. Both local and international Cisco experts will contribute to making the event the most exceptional of its kind on Africa`s IT calendar.
Cisco Networkers Africa 2005 offers:
* In-depth training in specialist areas at the many Techtorials (previously Power Sessions);
* Breakout sessions that explained Cisco`s vision on technology innovation and thought leadership; and
* Access to Cisco engineers and hundreds of networking specialists.
Comztek was awarded Cisco Distributor status by Cisco Systems for SA, Namibia, Zambia, Botswana, Angola, Mozambique and Zimbabwe in October 2004. The distribution contract includes warehousing, fulfilment and dispatch services for the entire Cisco Systems product range.
The distribution model agreement ensures Cisco has access to Comztek Africa`s extensive network across the continent and expertise in operating in Africa.
