Massive interest from resellers in the Novell Business Partner programme has prompted IT systems and communications distributor Comztek to extend the programme for another month - until the end of June.
The programme - the result of a partnership between Novell and Comztek - was initiated in February 2004.
Within a week, Comztek had signed up its first Novell Business Partner customer, who jumped at the opportunity offered by the programme to become a Novell Business Partner.
Resellers that signed up with Comztek between February and April 2004 - and those who join before the end of this month - are eligible to sell CLA (corporate licence agreement) Level One and Level Nine products. Comztek also offers a full refund on the first Novell Business Partner annual fee of $495, subject to the placement of a CLA order - an enormous benefit to smaller resellers.
Each partner who meets a minimum revenue requirement - and employs a Certified Novell Salesperson (CNS) - is eligible to become a Novell Business Partner and gain a wide range of additional partner benefits such as advanced Novell promotion announcements, regular communication from Novell, and access to partner information, technical support and training.
"Smaller resellers needed a way to satisfy demand for Novell products without having to meet Novell`s stringent qualification criteria. Thanks to the Novell-Comztek partnership, resellers of all sizes are able to become Novell Business Partners and receive a host of benefits," says Heinz Stephan, product and technology director at Comztek.

Business Partners have an important role to play in realising the Novell `One Net` vision. This is applicable both in terms of offering new solutions, and upgrading and servicing existing customers," he concludes.
