Over the next three years, Comztek will supply the department with 250 000 Symantec licences to be distributed to schools and provincial department offices.
The donation to the department includes a range of licences for Symantec's Endpoint Protection.
This software combines Symantec AntiVirus with advanced threat prevention to deliver defence against malicious attacks for laptops, desktops and servers.
Symantec Endpoint Protection will help the Department of Education deal more effectively with virus, phishing and other sophisticated and unknown computer-related threats.
