The MultiModemISI high-speed access server cards from MultiTech Systems provide a cost-effective remote access server solution for both 56k and ISDN services. These multiport ISA and PCI cards are ideal for small to midsize companies wanting to provide high-speed dial-up remote access for telecommuters and mobile users.
They provide cost-effective and scalable delivery of 56K remote server support without costly TI/EI or PRI ISDN lines.
Comztek product manager Johan Groenewald says the MultiModemISI provides four or eight concurrent user sessions per card while using only one server slot and is easily scalable. When demand exceeds one card, users can easily add and cost-justify additional cards.
The fully-integrated design of the hybrid cards allows easy set-up and management. Users only have to connect the ISDN BRI lines and there are no external modems to connect and to maintain. These cards automatically detect ISDN, 56K, 33,6K or lower data calls and 14,4K or lower fax calls. The ISI cards provides hassle-free, seamless, end-to-end connectivity for 56K modems and ISDN TA`s.
The card works with popular network operating system including Windows 95/98/2000, Windows NT, Citrix WinFrame/MetaFrame, SCO OpenServer, Novell NetWare, Linux, and Multi-Tech RASExpress. Features:
Two or four BRI ISDN ports with four or eight integrated V.90/56K modems or four BRI ISDN ports without modems
Four or eight concurrent V.90/56K or 64Kbps ISDN sessions
V.90/56K downloads to 100K (56Kx2 modems) and ISDN bi-directional bandwidth to 128K
Class 1 and Class 2 faxing at 14,4K
Caller ID support on 4BRI cards
Automatic call negotiation, whether ISDN, 56K data or 14,4K fax
