Technology products distributor, Comztek has appointed Martin Kruger as its Samsung channel manager.
The appointment follows a recent announcement by the company that it has been appointed as the official distributor for the entire range of Samsung office automation and IT products, with immediate effect.
Countries covered by the agreement include Namibia, Zambia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Angola, Swaziland, Lesotho, Malawi and Mozambique, says Comztek.
In a statement, the company says Kruger will report to Tiens Lange, group hardware manager.
"With the formation of the new division, we require a manager who has strong leadership skills and who has a keen understanding of the products within the portfolio, as well as one who can take the brand effectively to the channel. With Kruger's previous experience, we believe he will be an asset to the Comztek team," says Lange.
The products that form part of the Samsung Electronics portfolio include notebooks, netbooks, printers, consumables, monitors, large-format displays, hotel TVs and thin clients.
Comztek says Kruger brings with him both sales and technical experience in the environment of office automation products and will be tasked with promoting the Samsung product portfolio, growing the reseller base, and ensuring customers continue to benefit from the value-added distribution services of Comztek.
