Comztek reaffirms Indian Ocean Islands commitment

Johannesburg, 06 Mar 2009

Information technology distributor, Comztek, has reaffirmed its commitment to deliver best-of-breed products, solutions and support to customers in the Indian Ocean Islands.

The company, which has been operating in the Indian Ocean Islands market for the past four years, now has a targeted sales strategy for the region, with a focus on marketing 3Com merchandise. Comztek is well equipped for this purpose, having the operational and logistical elements in place to service customers in the area, the necessary experience to handle importation and distribution, a thorough understanding of the market and great relationships with the local resellers.

Uwe Brandkamp, Comztek Networks Director, says: “We believe that 3Com as a brand is well positioned to be sold in the region and we are going to put our weight behind marketing 3Com, using the infrastructure already in place. Comztek's Channel Manager for 3Com, Tiens Lange, is dedicated to the brand and will go out of his way to assist customers to tactically develop the channel in the region.”

This sales approach is aligned with Comztek's 2009 strategy to remain focused on expanding its product offering within its current footprint, by giving existing Comztek branches and customers access to more of the Comztek product portfolio. Comztek has offices in South Africa, Namibia, Zambia and Kenya and has a footprint to cover 19 countries on the African continent, with plans in place to increase this number.
