Leading systems distributor Comztek has scooped 3Com SA`s Distributor of the Year award for 2001-2002. The selection was based on a number of criteria, including revenue target achievement, technical support, contributions towards marketing programmes, and the results of a reseller poll.
The award was announced at the recent 3Com Partner 3 Conference held at the Tusk Casino Resort in Mmabatho, North West Province.
Comments Siobhan Hanvey, 3Com product manager at Comztek: "The recognition from both 3Com SA and their reseller base is extremely rewarding. This award is indeed indicative of the effort that`s been made by Comztek and our staff to promote 3Com, an important and strategic brand for us."
At the awards ceremony, Chris van Niekerk, regional manager of 3Com SA, congratulated Comztek on winning the award in a very close run contest - and on its achievements in the channel arena. He reaffirmed 3Com`s commitment to the channel model and highlighted its value in assisting 3Com to target and service its customer base.
"Our distributors are key to our success in this market, adding value to our efforts in the marketplace. It is rewarding to enjoy such a close relationship with our distributors," he said.
"The award illustrates our commitment to 3Com, which in turn shows that we`re adding real value to resellers and partners," concludes Hanvey.
