Leading communications systems distributor Comztek has won the coveted Cisco Distributor of the Year award for 2002/2003 - in its first full year of trading.
The Cisco Distributor of the Year award was presented to Siobhan Hanvey, Cisco Product Manager at Comztek, at the annual Cisco Partner Summit last weekend.
Says Hanvey: "We have focused a large amount of time and effort on training our staff and extending the market with our key resellers and partners. This award demonstrates that Comztek is a serious player in the Cisco space in this country. It is also a clear indication of Comztek`s commitment to the Cisco brand, its product range and support structures."
The Cisco Distributor of the Year award is based on minimum standards and criteria.
According to Cisco, reasons for Comztek claiming top honours were:
* Significant growth.
* Although based in SA, Comztek is also committed to selling Cisco into other African countries.
* Comztek has always gone the extra mile to ensure that all its partners are notified of promotions and training offered.
* Comztek has shown an impressive growth in stock management.
"We are indeed serious about this business and have shown our commitment to the Cisco brand by ensuring that all our staff are trained as Cisco sales experts. This ensures that our resellers have the necessary skills available to them to continue providing their customers with the best product support available," Hanvey concludes.
This is the second time in as many weeks that Comztek has won a distributor of the year award. The first was the 2002/2003 Microsoft Finished Goods Distributor of the Year.
