Concord Communications, Inc, a global provider of business service management (BSM) software solutions, today announced the extension of its support for Siebel Systems business applications.
The integration between Concord`s eHealth Suite for Siebel and Siebel business applications version 7.7 has been successfully validated by Siebel Systems, a leading provider of business applications software.
Since early 2004, Concord has been a strategic software partner in the Siebel Alliance Programme, and has already completed validation on both Siebel 7 and Siebel 7.5. With the latest validation, Concord provides Siebel Systems customers with the end-to-end visibility and management necessary to assure they get the most from their Siebel Systems investment.
Concord`s eHealth Suite for Siebel maps business processes to the IT infrastructure, measures actual end-user experience, and manages the applications, systems and networks that end-users rely on to do their jobs. Concord`s eHealth Suite for Siebel minimises risk and total cost of ownership by proactively managing the entire IT infrastructure supporting the business service.
Importantly for customers of Siebel 7.7, Concord`s eHealth Suite for Siebel includes complementary management capabilities for Microsoft Exchange servers, computer telephony integration, and other IP telephony applications. By proactively detecting problems before they impact end-users or quickly identifying the root cause once problems arise, companies can significantly improve the performance and availability of the business service.
"At Siebel Systems, our goal is to help companies drive their business forward by giving them productivity tools to generate more revenue and improve customer satisfaction," said Craig Crawford, Senior Director, Siebel Alliances. "To be successful, our customers rely on our business applications to be available and highly responsive. Siebel`s partnership with Concord addresses this need by enabling IT organisations to assure delivery of our business applications. We are pleased to expand Concord`s product validations to Siebel 7.7."
Siebel 7.7 brings significant enhancements to the market, including more than 100 pre-packaged solution sets and 490 discrete applications. Support for Web services, and the standards-based Universal Application Network integration architecture round out the solution sets and enable rapid, low-cost integration with other business-critical systems such as ERP, human resources, custom and legacy applications. In addition, Siebel 7.7 further reduces the total cost of ownership for Siebel deployments through substantial improvements to the underlying technology and architecture.
"Customer-facing, revenue-generating operations sit at the core of every business success story - and for thousands of businesses worldwide, Siebel business applications are the glue that holds it all together," stated Dayton Semerjian, Executive Vice-President of Marketing and Strategic Alliances for Concord. "Siebel sits at the heart of how companies develop, maintain and improve critical connections with their customers, employees and partners. Concord sits at the heart of maintaining and improving critical connections between business users and the IT infrastructure they rely on. The latest validation demonstrates our continued commitment to this strategic relationship."
Siebel Systems forms alliances with proven technology leaders to deliver tangible business benefits throughout the enterprise. By choosing Siebel business applications and validated partner solutions, Siebel Systems` customers can pursue a best-of-class software acquisition strategy. The Siebel Validation Programme applies rigorous technical scrutiny to evaluate the integration of third-party solutions with Siebel business applications. Integrations that meet the strict testing criteria are validated and documented by the Siebel Validation Programme. Validation documentation is available on the Siebel Partner Directory at www.siebel.com/partners/dir/directory.shtm.
