CONDYN anti-spam SMS, MMS solution for the world market

CONDYN addresses the problem area of spam on mobile devices
Johannesburg, 08 Jun 2004

It is common knowledge today that the biggest threat in networks is spam and even more so on mobile devices. G3 technology is a fast growing technology and is here to stay, which opens more avenues for spamming and security risks. Companies are pressured by governments to find anti-spam workable solutions as most of our younger generation are into the latest technology.

Spam is not just pornography anymore but also includes identity theft and it is important to secure companies and individuals against these problem areas.

Parents are concerned about their children. Daily newcomers to the technology world are vulnerable and CONDYN is committed to working with governments to address these issues. We have the responsibility to protect our South African citizens and promote SA worldwide with leadership technology.

It was a natural process for CONDYN as a security distributor to incorporate the GMMS (Guaranteed Mobile Message Server) technology from Johan Liversage to address security risks on mobile technologies. This server includes: anti-spamming software, load balancing between SMSCs, SMS, SMPP, VAS as well as USSD. A tested billing engine is already integrated in the solution to ensure the client will be up and running in no time. The solution is suitable for network operators as well as corporate companies. Apart from possible litigation, spamming is costly and network intensive, therefore companies will observe their return on investment (ROI) in no time.

"We always realised that information security is not only for the traditional network infrastructures but had to include mobile devices that are commonly used in our daily lives," says Jorina van Rensburg, CEO of CONDYN, "and we had to address these problematic areas as quickly as possible."

"The focus of cryptography on the messaging platforms has evolved to the convergence of secure telecommunication and information technology solutions," says Johan Liversage, Development Manager, CONDYN. "We are extremely excited that we could develop a solution that combined mobile and information security in a seamless manner."

Liversage has been appointed by CONDYN, with his extensive knowledge in mobile and middleware development.
