Condyn targets Cape region

Cape Town, 25 May 2007

Condyn, an independent company specialising exclusively in the distribution and provision of information security products and services, is increasing its focus on the Cape market, appointing Bryan Hooley as sales consultant to assist growing this sector for the company.

According to Condyn managing director, Jorina van Rensburg, the organisation has identified huge opportunity within the Cape and believes that this market is within a marked growth phase.

"The Cape marketplace is not only largely untapped but is also often neglected," she says. "Condyn maintained that by setting up local on-ground resources we would be able to capitalise on these prospects while at the same time offering Cape-based businesses the support and guidance they need."

Hooley, who prior to his appointment was running a Cape Town-based business and technology consultancy, has been employed to establish Condyn's footprint in this region. His employment record also includes a stint with iMedia, a joint venture between three of the newspaper industry's leading advisors and Ifra, the newspaper and media publishing services association, undertaking several projects across the globe including reviewing the circulation operation and advising on detailed IT strategy implementation and devising and implementing an advertising strategy to maximise revenues and improve sales efficiency.

Hooley also consulted as a business development/ technical relationship manager for Forensic & Compliance systems UK and worked as an account manager for Associated Newspapers, the largest newspaper group in the UK, where he was responsible for the development and smooth running of IT systems for the company's circulation, finance, personnel and payroll departments.

"With a strong background in project and programme management, I hope to utilise my expertise in the implementation of large-scale information management systems, showing tangible business benefits through the effective and efficient use of leading-edge technology, to the Cape market," says Hooley. "My aim for this region is to help local organisations to successfully manage change and fully realise the business benefits of security information solutions."

Says Van Rensburg: "Bryan's strong communication skills and motivation will certainly get Condyn on track in the Cape region."
