Newly-launched Metaware, a subsidiary of JSE-listed Connection Group Holdings, has announced it has secured the sole Sub-Saharan Africa distribution rights for the Ultimus Workflow Suite, a proven solution for the automation of business processes.
This was confirmed by Terry McClenchy, MD of Metaware, who said the company is aiming to capture a "significant slice" of the local workflow arena.
Ultimus is to be sold via business partners or resellers.
"Ultimus is an industrial-strength workflow solution built from the ground up with Microsoft technology - which is part and parcel of our technology approach at Metaware," McClenchy said.
He pointed out that the Ultimus Workflow Suite was the winner of the Industry Solution Award `97 for the administrative/ad hoc workflow automation solution using Microsoft technologies.
The solution uses the power of the Microsoft Transaction Server, COM/DCOM, enterprise databases, and Java/DHTML Web technologies to bring workflow automation to the desktop. "Using intuitive graphical tools, Ultimus enables users to design and automate business processes without any programming, macros, or scripting. It offers the most complete set of features for workflow automation that deliver the flexibility needed by every organisation."
