Content management tools cut costs
CMS Watch report found that enterprise content management (ECM) technology buyers are under pressure to cut costs and justify expenses at a time when small and mid-market vendors are providing less expensive alternatives to larger ECM vendors, says PR Web.
The organisation evaluated 40 ECM solutions head-to-head and released the findings in The ECM Suites Report 2009, which included a newly-updated "ECM Suites Cross-Check" diagram that offers a buyer-oriented risk assessment of the ECM marketplace.
"ECM provides many opportunities for cutting real costs, while marketplace evolution continues to make such technology more and more affordable,” notes Alan Pelz-Sharpe, lead analyst for the report.

Content DSI will implement, configure and integrate Temis Text Analytics software into its custom developed publishing solution offerings.
"Content DSI now offers a solution that would enable them to unlock the business value across their entire data collection," states Bob Zecca, president of Content DSI.
CA releases Information Governance Suite
CA has unveiled its Information Governance Suite, including a discovery and retention manager module, says Market Watch.
The Discovery and Retention Manager module, common to both Records Manager r12.5 and CA Message Manager r12.5, enables federation to other content repositories directly from CA Message Manager, providing discovery and retention management of content across the enterprise.
The module helps organisations to retain and dispose of selected information to reduce volume, optimise discovery for greatest efficiency and relevance, and limit outside legal review costs by producing only highly relevant information.
