Bytes Business Solutions has announced the local availability of Computer Associates` COOL:Gen 6.0 application development environment. It enables the rapid design, deployment and maintenance of scalable enterprise e-business applications.

The component-based development (CBD) methodology in COOL:Gen 6.0 promotes the structured use and sharing of design models and reusable software components, making it easier for organisations to manage complex development efforts across teams of developers.
Using COOL:Gen, developers can produce e-business applications that support traditional GUI and Web-based clients, while maximising component reuse across multiple development projects. Integration with Jasmine ii ensures that online business processes can flow securely between organisations and their partners and suppliers.
