Cordys appoints Tom Pietryga as Vice-President Americas Field Operations

Cordys expands Americas leadership team with experienced business leader.

Putten, The Netherlands, 31 Aug 2011

Cordys, a leading provider of software for business process innovation, announced today that it had appointed Tom Pietryga as its Vice-President Americas Field Operations.

Pietryga, a senior executive with a proven track record of success in sales, new business development, management, and strategy development, will oversee Cordys's sales, services, marketing, and go-to-market strategies in the Americas. He will report to Art Landro, Senior Vice-President Worldwide Field Operations.

“Tom brings both a wealth of business and technology expertise and a solid track record in enterprise sales and services,” said Landro. “His appointment reinforces our commitment to achieving significant results for our customers in the Americas, and we look forward to leveraging Tom's experience to drive the company's business forward.”

Pietryga joins Cordys from Green Energy Corp, a software company that helps power providers to convert to the Smart Grid. Prior to that, he was the US Business Unit Director of Sword CTSpace, an international software and services business headquartered and listed in France.

Pietryga also spent 11 years with EMC Documentum, where he held several senior sales leadership positions. His last role at EMC Documentum was VP Global Accounts, where he guided the global sales team to solid year-over-year growth. Under his leadership, EMC Documentum became a market leader in content management software and one of the fastest growing technology companies in the world.

“I am very excited to join Cordys,” Pietryga said. “Cordys's recent recognition as a leader in the IDC MarketScape for business process platforms is a testament to the quality of the Cordys Business Operations Platform and the benefits our customers have gained through its implementation. I feel we are positioned for very strong growth.”
