Cordys, Cloud Harbor team up

Cordys, a provider of software for business process innovation, and Cloud Harbor, have entered into a partnership that names Cordys as the core technology provider for the new Cloud Harbor Business Operations Platform, according to ebizQ.

This strategic partnership also appoints the Cloud Harbor Business Operations Platform as the official Cordys software-as-a-service (SaaS) and platform-as-a-service (PaaS) provider for the US, Mexico, Central America and South America, and enables Cloud Harbor to sell other Cordys products including on-premise server licences, training and professional services.

The Cloud Harbor Business Operations Platform is a subscription service that provides a cloud environment for developing browser-based process applications and the engine to run those applications.

Software AG acquires IDS

Software AG has signed a contract with Drs August-Wilhelm Scheer and Alexander Pocsay to acquire IDS Scheer AG, a well-established business process management (BPM) vendor, for about $320 million says ZDNet.

According to a statement released by Software AG, the transaction will create “a global infrastructure software and BPM vendor with more than 6 000 employees and more than EUR1 billion (R11.5 billion) in sales.”

Tony Baer says this mirrors Software AG's acquisition of WebMethods a couple of years back to boost its presence in the SOA space, but that's where the similarities end.

Global 360 updates BPM platform

Process and document management vendor Global 360 has revamped its BPM offering with the release of Process360 10.0, reports CBROnline.

The new suite is based on persona-based BMP, which is designed to involve all people within a process.

The design of the suite was heavily influenced by consumer research that revealed BPM users felt current offerings on the market did not meet the needs of all the people involved in a business process.
