Cordys, Powel offer 'Smart' BPM

Cordys, a provider of software for business process innovation, has signed an agreement with Powel ASA to offer an integrated business process management (BPM) framework on top of Powel's Smart Metering and Smart Grid solutions, reports TMCNet.

Under the agreement Powel will add more value to its Smart Metering solutions by embedding Cordys' SOA-based BPM platform with centralised control, workflow and a high degree of flexibility and scalability into its software suite.

With this added functionality, energy companies can automate work processes quickly, monitor activities in real-time, and easily integrate legacy systems to create a scalable and highly agile business operations platform.

Printers form workflow alliance

Print technology companies including Heidelberg, Agfa Graphics and CYMKit are to join Canon Australia's new workflow programme as strategic to promote integrated and profitable print workflow solutions, writes IDM.net.

The aim of the Canon Workflow Programme is to support professional print providers in overcoming business and production issues, enabling new production volume and revenue streams.

It does this through a portfolio of integrated software solutions designed to enhance a printer's entire workflow process. This includes colour management, production workflow and variable solutions, underpinned by professional services and consultancy from Canon.

TLT-Babcock picks BP Logix

BP Logix, a provider of Web-based business process automation and reporting solutions, says TLT-Babcock selected BP Logix Workflow Director to further automate and improve its business processes, according to Earth Times.

As part of the company's business improvement initiatives, TLT-Babcock selected Workflow Director to support engineering, human resources, project management, purchasing, quality assurance, accounting and logistics workflow and automation requirements.

In addition, the product provides document control and electronic forms - and integrates with TLT-Babcock's existing ERP system supporting hundreds of users across multiple locations.
