Corex, a recently launched distributor of PC and peripheral products, has been appointed the sole distributor for Thermaltake Technology.
Thermaltake manufacturers a range of PC products, including chassis, gaming systems, PC modifications and accessories which have thermal efficiency at the core of their design.
It is best known for its patented "fanless" PCs video cards and power supplies (with Power Factor Correction functionality), which use sophisticated heat-sink technology to replace conventional fans. This not only reduces noise, but also improves heat dissipation and increases reliability.
"There is great potential for Thermaltake products in SA," says Fred Lu, managing director of Corex. "With desktop computers packing so much computing power into smaller boxes, internal temperatures - particularly in SA`s normally hot climate - are becoming a problem.
"We have seen significant growth in the sales of these products worldwide and we expected them to be extremely popular with our resellers who need to respond to market demand for cooler running PCs."
Lu says he expects Thermaltake to make a major contribution to Corex`s business. "The gaming and accessory market is one of the fastest growing in the industry and represents a significant opportunity for Corex as Thermaltake is well positioned in this arena," he adds.
