Axiz has announced that Intel`s new Intel Pentium 4 processors with Hyper-Threading (HT) technology are immediately available and in stock. Intel has also unveiled a trio of chipsets that enable faster more feature-rich corporate PCs at mainstream price points, according to Alex Morse, Intel desktops product manager at Axiz.
Morse states: "The new 3.0C, 2.80C, 2.60C and 2.40C GHz Pentium 4 processors feature HT technology as well as an 800MHz system bus which facilitates the flow of information to and from the processor. The new 865G and 865PE and 875 chipsets support both HT technology and the 800MHz system bus to deliver superior performance for desktop computer users by improving productivity and enabling a richer digital media experience."
She adds that the 865G chipset is the first product in Intel`s new Stable Image Platform Program unveiled at Intel`s Developer Forum in February, which is intended to offer at least 12 months of chipset hardware and software driver stability for corporate PC buyers.
"This software image stability will allow IT managers to more easily manage the deployment and maintenance of their PC environments," she explains.
Outlining the benefits of the new product range for corporates, Morse Emphasises: "These new products will deliver greater PC performance and responsiveness, while minimising the impact of background tasks such as virus checking, e-mail encryption and file compression. This will improve performance, manageability and the security of the infrastructure and illustrates Intel`s commitment to increasing IT and end-user productivity while reducing the cost of ownership for corporate PCs by advancing the PC at all price points."
Axiz also has Intel`s four new desktop motherboards available in the ATX and micro-ATX form factors for system builders.
"The combination of HT Technology, a faster system bus and features such as integrated graphics and Gigabit Ethernet for the desktop, with the new stable platform program, make these components ideal for corporate and small business PC upgrades and purchases," Morse concludes.
