An exhibition is to be hosted by JSE-listed Rectron Holdings, a leading information technology distributor, in Johannesburg on the 20 June at the Sandton Sun Convention Centre, Cape Town on the 21 June at the Mount Nelson Hotel and Durban on the 22 June at the Natal Playhouse. The exhibition will be showcasing the latest product and technology offerings in the multimedia market.
The event will spotlight new developments from Rectron principals, Creative Labs and ViewSonic.
The full range of ViewSonic LCD flat panel and CRT perfect flat screen monitors will be presented by visiting ViewSonic executives Eric Chen, Julius Yeh and Kenny Hsu.
These new formats are "sky-rocketing" in popularity on world markets while product prices are dropping as the market embraces new technologies and screen formats.
Rectron will display the latest ViewSonic 18-inch LCD multifunctional monitor at this exhibition. It is the first on the market to incorporate digital, analogue and composite video inputs into an all-in-one display, together with the highest radiation protection standards.
Creative Labs will be launching the NOMAD Jukebox, designed to capture music from the Internet. Featuring 6GB of storage capacity, it is easy-to-use, and boasts an onboard real-time signal processor for superior audio playback and customisation
Nir Grodzian, visiting general manager for Creative Labs, will deliver a technical paper highlighting trends in PC-based audio, video and sound products at the event. Together with his colleague Gordon Buitendach, he will also focus on CD-ROM-based data storage and archiving systems and solutions.
