Logitech has launched a new credit card-sized digital camera for users who need the convenience of a camera without the burden of the bulk of a conventional digital or film camera.
A key feature of the new miniature device is its Autobrite image processing system that allows it to effectively capture images containing a mix of bright and dim areas. A built-in lithium polymer battery automatically recharges while pictures are being downloaded to the PC (through the USB cable).
The Pocket Digital, which also features a protective sliding cover for the lens and viewfinder, can store up to 52 images at 1.3 Megapixel resolution. A single click download function facilitates easy and instant image transfer.
"The product`s innovative features are matched by its striking design. With a sturdy brushed aluminium surface, this camera`s appearance is as attractive as what it can do," says Logitech executive, Garreth Hayes.
The camera will be sold with Logitech`s Pocket Digital 5.0 software, which includes the MGI Photosuite 4 SE offering for image editing and easy e-mailing of pictures and the Autobrite image processing technology for wide dynamic range.
