Prism Holdings, a world leader in the secure electronic transaction market, has developed an end-to-end platform which enables network operators to roll-out tomorrow`s applications such as airtime top-up, mobile wallets, mobile payments and mobile fund transfers, today.
Called AirBridge, the technology aroused considerable interest at the recent 3GSM World Exhibition which took place in Cannes, France recently.
AirBridge gives the operator the capability of securely delivering applications from any third party service provider to the SIM, including full memory management and software functionality.
According to Steven Sidley, group marketing director at Prism, network operators can enable, disable or completely update applications over-the-air, without having to recall or replace the SIM - and it`s all implemented with the highest security standards to protect network operators, their customers and revenue streams.
"With AirBridge, applications are sent from the service provider, through a GSM-controlled application manager, to the SIM. AirBridge then facilitates the secure delivery of transactions from the SIM back to the service provider, using the most stringent cryptography to retain back-standard confidentiality, authentication, non-repudiation and integrity.
"Key and PIN translation are catered for, allowing multiple secure zones and independent 3rd party security architectures," he explains.
The Prism AirBridge m-commerce architecture consists of four major components:
. Prism aSIMetrix 32K/64K WIB RSA DES SIM card.
. Prism Incognito high-performance crypto servers.
. Prism AirTrax m-commerce SMS node.
. Prism OTA download and secure application management modules.
