JSE-listed Crux Information Technologies has been appointed a Safika BEA Systems Integration Partner.
The appointment will capitalise on the synergy that exists between both organisations to deliver global e-business solutions.
The BEA WebLogic e-business platform is an integrated suite of products that support high-volume transactions on a global scale, real-time personalisation, business process management, Enterprise Application Integration and business collaboration within and across organisations.
Ken Murdoch, managing director, Safika BEA Systems, said: "The rationale behind this appointment is based on the fact that we do not have all the necessary resources for the implementation and deployment of this kind of technology. Our strategy is based on building up a community of partners across vertical markets that enables us to deliver comprehensive solutions with the relevant skills to develop, integrate, deploy and manage these e-business solutions in a given environment."
Jeff Zafiropoulos, a director of Crux, said many large organisations have huge investments in legacy systems that fulfil specific roles but are not integrated.
"At Crux we have invested heavily in the necessary skills to assist with bridging the gap between legacy systems and BEA`s e-commerce solutions. We can bridge the gap that may exist between the two systems, allow them to interact, and we can also facilitate a reduction in the long-term cost of ownership of these systems."
Crux is a major player in the provision of integrated IT services to public and private sector organisations throughout SA. Its range of IT services include business solutions, professional services and skills sourcing services.
Zafiropoulos added that Crux`s expertise in the public sector provides both organisations with opportunities to provide value-added solutions to central, provincial and government.
