JSE-listed Crux Information Technologies has released Munsoft 2010, a municipal treasury system.
Munsoft was developed to provide local government throughout Southern Africa with an optimal financial and accounting solution. This municipal system boasts the consolidated functionalities of the various legacy systems that have evolved over the last 15 to 20 years and is ideally suited for district councils, regional councils and municipalities as an ASP solution.
Graham Foster, CEO of Crux Information Technologies, said: "Crux`s invasive strategy for competitive market space is aimed at positioning Munsoft 2010 as the dominant player in the municipal arena."
Munsoft is a standalone financial system that runs on Unix technology and also supports Windows and Windows NT. It is a fully integrated, interactive information system that includes multi-level security controls, GIS capabilities and is Web-enabled.
Munsoft is running in the Middleburg Municipality and Eastvaal District Council and further rollouts will take place over the coming months.
