JSE-listed CS Holdings` division, CS IT Solutions, has been awarded the contract to provide on-site hardware warranty services for AUWA PC products, sold from 1st February 2001. Compucomp, a major importer and supplier of AUWA branded computer systems, components and peripherals, boasts the AUWA product range of portable solutions, point-of-sale systems, server and desktop products as well as network components.
According to Johann Kunz, MD of CS IT Solutions and executive director of CS Holdings, their company would provide the technology to handle the customer response centre, thereby enhancing Compucomp and their clients` relationship by providing a full and comprehensive support structure.
Kunz explained, "We will provide the technical skills necessary to maintain the new warranty for Compucomp`s clients, adding value to their products and allowing them the opportunity to concentrate on their core business. With CS IT Solutions taking care of all after-sales service, Compucomp now has the opportunity to offer their clients more than just a product - a total solution."
Peter Held, head of IT operations and support at Compucomp, says, "Compucomp customers will be able to call a toll-free number and will receive service within a fixed response time. The overall improvement in efficiency will result in better turnaround times and improved customer relations. After all, finding better ways of serving our client base is one of our core objectives. Our AUWA brand deserves nothing less."
