Internationally competitive technology, specifically the latest in accounting software packages, is an outstanding attribute of the new R400 million Sandton Convention Centre. JSE-listed CS Holdings was recently contracted by the Sandton Convention Centre, a Tsogo Sun development, to install ACCPAC for Windows before the Centre`s opening.
Andr'e Matthysen, MD of CS Holdings` Integrated Solutions division comments that "The features of ACCPAC for Windows makes it the ideal solution for a large and complex business like the Sandton Convention Centre. These include flexible data analysis tools, real-time queries and reports and multi-company and multi-currency functionality. The key to the Sandton Convention Centre implementation was speed so as not to delay the opening by Southern Sun, one of the shareholders, or disrupt operations."
Greg Govender, financial manager of the Sandton Convention Centre, concurs: "It was essential that, for a facility of the size of Sandton Convention Centre, which already had a full booking sheet for its four-month `opening season`, we have a fully functional and customised accounting package in place for opening, which could meet the needs of the largest convention centre under one roof in South Africa."
CS Holdings` Integrated Solutions division was selected by Sandton Convention Centre as the preferred supplier for their accounting software on the basis of their quick turnaround time in providing a quotation and their superior service ethic.
"Not only is the product supplied by CS Holdings superior in terms of its ability to provide customised solutions for our unique requirements, but the service provided by CS Holdings since before their appointment has proven to be of an international standard, which is the service ethic we at Sandton Convention Centre subscribe to," concludes Maseko Nxumalo, director of finance for Sandton Convention Centre.
