Gas and welding company African Oxygen (Afrox) has selected the Enterprise Document Delivery (EDD) solution from CS Holdings as its electronic bill presentment product of choice for a 12-month period.
Afrox has met the welding, cutting and gases needs of South Africans for more than 75 years - from the advanced process-oriented requirements of the large fabricator, to the varied product line-up required by the small user and DIY enthusiast. This capability is built on the knowledge and experience gained from the decades-long manufacture of welding consumables, gas equipment and gas, backed by Afrox`s parent, the global BOC Group. Afrox boasts a countrywide network of 85 branches and service centres.
"Afrox wanted an electronic bill presentment solution that would enable them to send statements and invoices to their customers via e-mail," relates CS Holdings sales manager Garth Meier. "The solution had to comply with South African Revenue Services (SARS) requirements and be completely secure and non-intrusive to the organisation. Most importantly, it had to provide immediate cost saving benefits.
"EDD delivers a true dot-for-dot rendition of the normally printed document," he continues. "Encrypted in unbreakable 256-bit code, the document is e-mailed to the customer in PDF format. Once opened and/or printed, it looks exactly the same as statements or invoices usually sent to customers in the post. Additionally, it is legally accepted as a valid original document, unlike those downloaded directly from the Internet."
"We chose EDD owing to its competitive pricing and CS Holdings` enthusiasm to accommodate all our requirements," says Andre Keyter, systems and support manager of Afrox`s customer services centre. "Fax and postal services are not only expensive, but have proved unreliable in delivering invoices and statements to our customers, and many have to be refaxed or couriered, which further increases costs.
"Since implementing EDD, however, our customers receive their invoices and statements almost immediately, and respond by paying promptly. Additionally, the cost of sending these documents has been significantly reduced, while our customer service has improved."
CS Holdings also provides a call centre service to its EDD clients to deal with queries of a technical nature.
