CSC and FNB in multi million Dollar deal

Computer Sciences Corporation SA and First National Bank have engaged in a multi-million Rand deal which will provide FNB with the latest CSC software for banking products.

The five-year US$5,3 million deal will include Hogan Umbrella software.

"CSC and FNB are also pursuing further opportunities to work together in the future and we are confident that the value of the deal could exceed the current level expected", said Martin Vergunst, managing director of CSC South Africa.

Yatin Narsai, Head of FNB Technology said the contract would help ensure that FNB remained at the cutting edge of banking systems and technology. "The ongoing investment in technology will enable FNB to continue providing a world-class banking service to its many clients in South Africa, Botswana, Namibia and Swaziland."
