CSC gets tech chief
Bob Hayward has been named chief technology and innovation officer of CSC's operations in Australia and Asia, states Australian IT.
He will be responsible for the direction and business management of CSC's technology offerings and innovation programmes.
Before joining CSC, Hayward was a director of KPMG's IT advisory services, a line of business with 6 000 consultants and global revenue of $2 billion.
Novatel appoints director
Novatel Wireless has appointed General John Wakelin to its board of directors, reports Newsticker.
Peter Leparulo, CEO of Novatel Wireless, says: "His distinguished career with Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC), extensive communications experience in the US army and broad industry knowledge of telecommunications will make him a valuable addition to our board.”
General Wakelin worked as a senior executive at SAIC, a Fortune 500 scientific, engineering, and technology applications company, for the past 20 years.
Sierra reshuffles leadership
Sierra Wireless, a provider of wireless solutions for mobile computing, has revealed changes to the company's executive leadership team, upon its merger with Wavecom, says Trading Markets.
Didier Dutronc has been named as senior vice-president for marketing. In his new role he will be responsible for all marketing and product management activities globally for the combined company.
In addition, Philippe Guillemette has been named as the senior vice-president for advanced technology and will he drive a product/solution strategy for Sierra Wireless.
